Personal Care at Home — Dignified, Compassionate, Professional
Our personal care service supports individuals in Aylesbury and across Buckinghamshire with the everyday tasks that keep them comfortable, clean, and confident — delivered by CQC-registered carers who treat every client with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Understanding the Service
What Is Personal Care?
Personal care refers to the hands-on, practical support that enables individuals to maintain their hygiene, appearance, and daily living routines when they are no longer fully able to do so independently.
It is, in many ways, the most intimate form of care — and for that reason, it must be delivered by someone who is not only trained and competent, but genuinely compassionate, patient, and respectful.
At Cornerstone Care Ltd, personal care is the foundation of much of what we do. Our carers are selected not only for their professional skills but for their character — their warmth, their discretion, and their commitment to treating every individual with the dignity they deserve.
We never rush a personal care visit. We adapt to the individual's preferred routine, pace, and preferences. Your comfort and dignity come first, always.

Our Philosophy
Care Delivered With Dignity — Always
Consistency You Can Trust
We match each service user with a consistent carer wherever possible — because personal care requires trust, and trust is built through familiarity. You will see the same familiar face, visit after visit.
Your Routine, Your Way
We work around the individual's preferred schedule — not ours. Whether you prefer a morning routine at 7am or a slower start at 10am, we adapt completely to your lifestyle.
Privacy and Discretion
Our carers are trained to approach personal care with the utmost sensitivity and discretion. We understand the trust this work requires — and we honour it in every visit.

Personal Care — Frequently Asked Questions
Each visit is tailored to the individual's care plan. It may include assistance with washing, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, grooming, skin care, and getting in or out of bed — or a combination of these, depending on the person's needs that day.
Visit lengths vary depending on the level of support required. We do not rush personal care. Typical visits range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, though we can arrange longer visits where needed.
We prioritise consistency and aim to ensure the same carer attends as often as possible. This is especially important for personal care, where trust and familiarity are essential to the individual's comfort and dignity.
We take this very seriously. If a service user or their family feels that a particular carer is not the right match, we will arrange an alternative promptly and without question.
